Diamond Engagement Rings Perth
An engagement ring is usually the biggest piece of jewellery you will ever buy, and for most of the couples we see, it is also the first one they have thought seriously about and our team understands that.
Helping people find the right ring, or build one from scratch, is what we have been doing every day since Stelios Palioudakis started the studio in 2007. Every piece on our showroom floor was designed, cut, set and polished by hand in Mt Hawthorn by a team that has spent, between them, more than 200 years at the tools.
Whether you have a clear picture of what you want, or only a rough budget and a deadline, we can help you put the ring together.
Some couples come in with a single reference image. Others arrive knowing only that their partner wears a size 5.
Both are good starting points.
If you would rather have an idea before talking to us, our Online Custom Ring Builder is a good place to look at what’s possible.

Round Brilliant Solitaire Diamond Ring
Our Engagement Ring Collection
Picking a ring is easier when you can hold a few in your hand. Our display includes most of the shapes couples come in looking for: round brilliants, ovals, emeralds, pears, princesses, cushions and marquises, in white gold, yellow gold, rose gold and platinum.
Quiet solitaires sit next to halo and three-stone designs, coloured gemstone rings, and the pink and champagne diamonds we have become known for.
Everything you see was drawn, cast, set and polished by the people in our workshop.
If a ring almost feels right but you want the band a touch thinner, or the claws sitting a little lower, just ask.
Bespoke Rings Made In Our Perth Workshop
Maybe nothing in the showroom is quite right. Maybe your partner has mentioned a ring they saw at a friend’s wedding, or has a shape in mind they have never found in a shop. That is exactly what bespoke is for.
A custom piece usually starts with a sit-down conversation about what your partner already wears, how they use their hands day to day, and what budget you are comfortable with.
From there, we sketch, choose the stone together, and refine the setting until it looks right to both of you. Because the workshop is right behind the showroom, you can drop in while the ring is being made, see it at the polishing stage, and hold it next to your partner’s other jewellery before anything is finalised. A surprising number of couples tell us this is the part they enjoyed most about getting engaged.
Our Custom Ring Design Process
Here is how the design process usually unfolds, whether we are sitting across the counter or meeting you on video:
- First conversation, in person or online. We ask more questions than we answer.
- Stone selection, with GIA or equivalent certification on every diamond.
- Metal and setting choices, shaped around how the ring will actually be worn.
- 3D CAD rendering, followed by a silver or resin prototype you can try on for size and feel.
- Final sign off, casting, setting, polish, and the handover.
Most bespoke pieces take six to ten weeks. If you have a proposal date already locked in, tell us on day one and we work the timeline backwards from it.
Heirloom diamonds are always welcome: we reset old stones into new settings all the time, and a diamond that has been sitting in your mother’s jewellery box for twenty years often looks brand new the moment it goes into something modern.
Finding A Ring That Suits Your Partner
If your partner already wears jewellery, that is usually our best guide. Someone who lives in slim gold bands often feels at home in a low-set solitaire.
Someone drawn to colour may lean toward a sapphire, an emerald, or a champagne diamond. Pear and oval shapes suit longer fingers, while cushion cuts carry well on most hands. The life the ring has to fit around matters too, whether that is hospital shifts, rock climbing weekends, or a full-time job at a keyboard. The most beautiful ring in the world is the wrong one if it keeps catching on everything.
Natural Diamonds And Lab Grown Alternatives
You will hear both natural and laboratory grown diamonds discussed in our showroom, and we walk you through both openly. Natural diamonds carry geological history and tend to hold their value better over the long term. Lab grown diamonds give you more size or clarity at the same budget, and are chemically identical to mined stones. Neither is better. The right choice comes down to what matters most to you: rarity, resale, size on the finger, or price per carat. If you want to read up on the lab grown side before your visit, our Lab Grown Diamonds page goes through how they are made, how they are graded, and how the pricing compares.
If you are thinking of your engagement ring as an investment as well as a piece of jewellery, ask us about the certified natural pink, yellow and champagne diamonds we keep aside. Pink diamonds have become particularly scarce since the mine in the Kimberley region that once produced more than 90 percent of the world’s natural pink stones closed in 2020. Certified pinks now move through the market faster than they used to, and most of the pink diamonds in our showroom come from our own reserve rather than the open trade.
Pairing With A Wedding Band
A wedding band that sits flush against the engagement ring feels very different to one that sits apart on the finger. If the engagement ring is already finished, we can shape the band to match its curves, its diamonds and its profile exactly. Some couples design both together as a bridal set. Others prefer to come back after the proposal with their partner, so the band is something they pick together. Both are equally common, and both work.
Ethical Sourcing And Our Standards
Every diamond that leaves our workshop has been supplied under the Kimberley Process, and where we can, we prefer stones with chain of custody documentation back to the mine. Our gold, platinum and palladium come from recycled and mine-to-market refiners we have worked with for years. When you buy a stone from us, the certification paperwork comes with it, and we are happy to sit with you and walk through what the numbers actually mean. If something does not check out at our end, it does not make it to the case.
Why Perth Couples Choose Us
Stelios Palioudakis has led the house since 2007, but his path in fine jewellery started earlier. During his training he was named a finalist in the Australian Jewellery Awards in 2006. On the bench today, master jeweller Paul brings two Jewellery Association of Australia (JAA) Awards into the workshop, and long-standing jeweller Isabelle holds a client file that reads like a wedding diary of the past fifteen years in Perth.
Between us sit roughly two centuries of combined experience, and every commission passes through at least two pairs of hands before it leaves the studio.
2026 also marks the sixth year of our partnership with Miss Universe Australia. Stelios handcrafts the official crown himself, and every three years designs a new piece drawing on the colours and textures of the Australian landscape. It is the most-watched item to leave our bench in any given year, and every engagement ring is made with the same tools, the same team and the same care.
A favourite story of ours: a client walked in with a pink diamond that had been sitting in their family’s safe for fifteen years. We built a new ring around it, and their partner had no idea the stone was in the family until the night of the proposal.
Something we see all the time: a couple walks in certain they want a simple solitaire, and walks out an hour later with a completely different ring, because a jeweller showed them a stone that was not on the plan for the day.
Rings tend to find their owners that way. Keeping every stage, from the first sketch to the final polish, under one roof is what lets those moments happen.
Frequently Asked Questions
A few of the things couples usually want to know before their first consultation.
How Long Does A Custom Engagement Ring Take?
A typical bespoke design takes six to ten weeks from first consultation to handover. Simple resets can be faster, and complex multi-stone pieces sometimes run a little longer. If you have a proposal date locked in, tell us on day one and we plan the whole timeline backwards from it.
What Price Range Should I Expect?
Our engagement rings start in the low thousands and climb from there, based on diamond size, origin and setting complexity. If you share your budget early, we can be upfront about exactly what the finished piece looks like at that number, before we start any design work.
Can I Use A Diamond Or Heirloom Setting I Already Own?
Absolutely. We reset heirloom diamonds regularly, and loose stones you have sourced elsewhere are welcome, provided they carry independent certification. Some of our favourite rings in recent years started life in someone else’s jewellery box.
Do You Offer Virtual Consultations?
Yes. Interstate and international couples work with us by video all the time. We send a silver prototype through the post so your partner can check the fit and feel at home before final casting.
Book Your Consultation
When you are ready, we would love to meet you. Visit our Perth showroom, or book a virtual consultation from anywhere in Australia. You will be sitting with someone who actually makes rings for a living, not a salesperson.
Bring photos of pieces you love, a rough idea of your budget, and any heirloom stones you are thinking of bringing forward. Everything else, we work out together.
